As a creative, I use my experience as a designer, photographer, artist, writer, publicist, events producer and businesswoman to create campaigns and strategies that communicate ideas and image, build buzz and position a brand. I find inspiration in my world travels, culture, art history and in well-designed fonts. A good business idea excites me and the satisfaction of a completed project keeps me motivated. I live for the creativity that inspires change, and my favorite part of being in the creative field is working with the people behind a business and getting them to where they want to be.
My work has won me a medal from the Art Director’s Club, and I’ve had my poster-work showcased in an AIGA group show. I’ve picked up a few awards for my business sense along the way, and I’ve been named “The Wedding Guru” by the Houston Chronicle. Recently, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio wrote me a letter of recommendation for hosting NYC’s first multicultural bridal event for the luxury segment with Preston Bailey as the keynote speaker. I have a certificate in Contract Law from Harvard, the Preston Bailey Protege program in Luxury Event Design and certificates from the Institute of Hospitality about hospitality businesses. I am currently learning Spanish.
When I’m not working on my laptop, you’ll find me cooking up something yummy for the many dinner parties I host or traveling to a new locale. I am also a painter and am currently working on a series of canvases that explore gender identity and enlightenment. I practice yoga, live for the beach, believe in giving back and spend way too many hours researching fashion and design trends. My super power is finding the best travel deals. I recently flew to Nashville for only $40 roundtrip. I have traveled to over 45 countries and 20 states and one of my favorite cities is St Petersburg, Russia. My indulgence is decorating and redecorating my Manhattan and Miami homes.
